Gentlemen,
During this past winter we sat down as a golf staff and went over the Club Men’s Golf programs. During our meeting we discussed how can we make the Men’s Hurly-Burly (Member-Member) a must-attend event. We decided to revamp the format, adjusted the handicapping, added a Calcutta Auction, and the overall champions will be determined by the four lowest scores advancing to the Final Battle Royale on Hole #16.

The Field will be limited to the first 54 Teams that register

Friday, June 19th: 1:00pm Shotgun

RULES AND INFORMATION
Handicaps: All handicaps will be based on the June 17th handicaps. The tournament Handicap between partners must not exceed eight (8) strokes, then the higher handicap player will be reduced to the eight (8) stroke differential of his partner. Teams will add both course handicaps together and then divide by two and multiplied 80%. The team handicap will be subtracted from the 18 hole Gross Better Ball score.
Friday Format Gross Better Ball of Partners, less the team handicap: Gross Better ball of the team scoring both balls on holes #6 & #16. The maximum individual score a player may record on those holes is Triple Bogey. The team will add the total 18 hole gross best ball score and then subtract the team handicap at the end to get the net score
Saturday Format Gross Better Ball of Partners, less the team handicap: Gross Better ball of the team scoring both balls on holes #14 & #18. The maximum individual score a player may record on those holes is Triple Bogey. The team will add the total 18 hole gross best ball score and then subtract the team handicap at the end to get the net score
Final Battle Royale: The top FOUR overall net teams will qualify for the Battle Royale. The Battle Royale will be held on holes #16, #17, & #18. The GROSS Better Ball of Partners will be scored on holes #16 and #18 and counting both GROSS ball’s on hole #17. The maximum individual score a player may record on hole #17 of the Battle Royale is Triple Bogey. The Teams that qualify for the Battle Royale at will start the Battle in relation to par score that they finished the 36 hole tournament. The team with the lowest score relation to par after the 3 holes in the Battle Royale will be crowned the 2020 Hurly Burly Champions. In the event of a tie for first place, the teams that are tied will repeat hole #18 until a champion has been crowned.
Tees: All golfers will play from the Forest Tees.
Rule of 90: If a player's age and course handicap is 90 or greater they have the option of playing the umber tees.
The Auction: Thursday June 18, 2020 6:00 pm
Teams will own the opening auction bid of $300 for their team. The auction is for the Owner Flight Payout and Owner Battle Royale pool and anyone participating in the tournament may bid on your team. If somebody else purchases your team they become the “Owner” and you have the option of purchasing up to 50% of your team. Ten Percent of all the money raised in the Auction will be put towards the 2020 Ravenna Cup. The balance on money will be split into three separate pools (Owner Flight Payout, Team Flight Pool and Battle Royale Owners Pool)
*The following Scenarios are based on 12 to 13 teams per flights and subject to change.*
Owners Flight Payout
Thirty five percent of the balance from the Calcutta Auction will be put into the flight payout pool. The first place owner in each flight will receive 40% of the pool. The second place owner will receive 30% of the pool, third place owner receives 20% and the fourth place team will receive 10% of the pool. In the case of a tie, the money will be split evenly between the owners.
Team Flight Pool
Twenty percent of the balance from the Calcutta Auction will be put into the Team Flight payout pool. If the overall Hurly Burly Champion from the Final Battle Royale comes from your flight, each Team in that flight will be paid from this pot (Approx. $200 per team at 50 teams).
Final Battle Royale payout to owners
The remaining 45% of the money will be put into the Battle Royale Pool.
1st place team owner 40%, 2nd place team owner 30%, 3rd place team owner 20%, and 4th place team owner 10%. In the case of ties for second, third or fourth place the cash will be split by the number of teams that tie.
Optional Day Money
$200 per team ($100 per day) to be collected Friday morning during registration.
