Construction at our pool and fitness center, La Bella Vita, continues to progress as quickly as possible and – with that progress – we would like to share some noteworthy updates regarding the facility and amenities coming to Ravenna.
First of all, we are excited to announce the hiring of Lance Smith as Ravenna’s Director of Fitness. Lance comes to Colorado by way of Indianapolis where he spent several years as the Fitness Operations Manager at the Jewish Community Center of Indianapolis. A graduate of Butler University, Lance has a passion for coaching others in leading a healthy and fulfilling life and has experience in all areas of fitness from group instruction, personal training and management and is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Registered Yoga Teacher and PHI Pilates Mat and Reformer Certified. Since moving to Denver less than a year ago, he’s been a Personal Training Manager and Lance and his fiancé are getting married in November.

In addition, Lance has begun the process of adding to Ravenna’a fitness staff with specialized instructors. In the coming weeks, we will be announcing Ravenna’s initial schedule of group classes, training and other fitness programs. We will also be giving a sneak peek at many of the state-of-the-art equipment pieces that will be filling out the gym. We invite you to meet and get to know Lance in the coming weeks as we lead up to our grand opening, and Lance will be available over the next few weeks for informal meet and greets with our members including tomorrow evening at the Hurly Burly and Girly Curly.
We know that Members are very excited for the new building to open (as are we) and we appreciate your patience as we finish the final stages. The facility will unquestionably be a standout of the Ravenna experience with features that will be enjoyed for years and years to come. Over the coming days, you'll see notable progress as exterior stucco and stonework is completed on the exterior of the building. On the interior, the drywall is being completed along with plumbing, wiring and preparation for the gym equipment installation. Upcoming milestones will be curb and gutters, completion of the wall by the putting green, grading and the roof. The area leading up to the facility will also be landscaped, providing a memorable first impression upon entering the gates.
In addition to La Bella Vita, the foundation for the Clubhouse was poured last week. In total, 30 cement trucks poured nearly 300 cubic yards of cement to fill the forms of the foundation. This is exciting progress for the Club and the site work will continue as the foundation is backfilled surrounding the foundation. Furthermore, the new Short Game Practice area is near completion and almost ready for Member use.
Along with our 5th Annual Infinite Hero weekend July 19-23 and summer golf events, this truly is a landmark year for Ravenna and our Members as these facilities open throughout the season.
