The Winter 2019 issue of the American Society of Golf Course Architects’ By Design magazine features Ravenna, along with a few other courses, in its cover story "Steps to Success."

The feature article within this latest issue profiles golf clubs that have undertaken renovation work over multiple phases. ASGCA members provide insight into these projects, where spreading golf course work over a longer timeframe was more feasible than completing the project in one big hit: “Ripping the band-aid off all at once is the preferred way to go, but sometimes clubs just don’t have the means to make that large of a commitment or investment and they cannot withstand the extended closure,” says Drew Rogers.

The article highlights Ravenna Course Superintendent Steve Datwyler's work along with Kevin Atkinson and his team in various course renovations at Ravenna.

Says Datwyler, "The phased approach was an excellent choice in our particular situation. We were looking for a cost-effective approach to tackling the project and the in- house option allowed us to pick off the ‘low hanging fruit,’ complete the majority of work on our own timeline, and did not require a large upfront financial investment. Taking on a few renovation projects each off-season provided a fresh playing experience each spring for our members.”
  
In September, Ravenna was featured in Golf Business Magazine for renovations and innovative technology being used at The Club. Earlier in 2019, Golfweek announced Ravenna has cracked the top 10 as the #8 Best Private Course in Colorado for 2019 and Golf Digest ranked Ravenna as #11 Best in the State of Colorado, a jump of five spots from last year’s ranking of #16. The ranking improvement was the biggest single jump of any course on the list. Additionally, 2019 is the ninth year in a row that Golfweek has included Ravenna as a Top 100 U.S. Best Residential Course.
