Building Our Future: Clubhouse On Schedule Despite Pandemic Challenges
Ravenna Update
 Clubhouse On Schedule
Despite Pandemic Challenges

Happy Summer to Our Ravenna Members and Families:

From semiconductors to lumber to service industry staffing, we’re reading and hearing about the materials and labor shortages caused by the pandemic. Our clubhouse project is not immune to these issues, but despite the challenges they pose the project remains on schedule within the 16-20-month time frame we announced last year.

We continue to hit our important milestones – most recently completing the main floor rough inspections. This allows us to commence serious interior work. For example, the Dining room (right): beautiful Douglas Fir beams, hung drywall and windows overlook the canyon to the south and red rocks to the east.

When work began, framers and carpenters were busy outside raising walls, adding a roof and sealing the building against the weather. That accomplished, we turned to the interior, where

we’ve been equally wrapped up with multiple projects -- but not as visible.

Now, there’s more activity on the outside as masons apply browning (an undercoat) and scratch coats, which leave a rough surface that will bond securely with a finish coat of stucco or masonry.

My goal is to achieve a temporary certificate of occupancy (TCO) by December 31st. With a TCO the building will be 90-percent complete, and the grand opening day will be within our sight.  Take a look at our newest drone footage below by clicking on the below image:

Summer 2021 Update

In marked contrast to a year ago, summer 2021 continues full speed at Ravenna with multiple events and activities.

First off, what a fantastic event last week!!! The 2021 Bravado went off without a hitch. In our opinion, the course was in better shape than any other in the state, the food was delicious, and the company was even better.

Special thanks to our members/guests, which made this special event possible, and who took part in the most competitive shoot-out to date. Thirty teams qualified and congratulations goes to Bill Beck and his guest Terry George for their exciting, dramatic win.

Our Progress - Recognized

Ravenna continues to receive positive accolades for the improvements we’ve engineered in the past few years. The Denver Business Journal spotlighted our progress with the May 10th article “After a Few Tough Years, the Club at Ravenna Turns Things Around". One takeaway from the story that I’d like you to note is that we will work through any issue or obstacle and turn Ravenna into The Next Great Club.

An Open Door

My door is always open to discuss anything, from ways we can improve to things we’re doing right. I look forward to updating you more frequently as we get closer to our clubhouse grand opening.

Sincerely,

Kevin Collins
