USGA Recognizes Ravenna's Improvements
The United States Golf Association (USGA) recently featured The Club at Ravenna in a case study.
Reducing both the number and size of bunkers at Ravenna helped improve the player experience and reduce maintenance costs.
The USGA Green Section consults thousands of golf courses each year and the agronomists do write-ups on what they feel are best management practices (BMP's) and share that as a tool for other Golf Course Superintendents and Club Operators.
Recently, the USGA featured Ravenna's many improvements and the work of Superintendent Steve Datwyler and his team. The continued golf course improvements have resulted in a great number of new members and we continue to realize operational efficiencies, ultimately making the golf course operation more sustainable.
